An Update on the Paul Eugene Workout Cruise
To my fitness family and cruise community,
I want to take a moment to share an important update regarding the Paul Eugene Workout Cruise and address some questions that may still be lingering since my last cruise in March 2025.
Over the years, I have had the joy of leading several workout cruises aboard Royal Caribbean, sponsored by Inspired 2 Travel with Gwen. These experiences have been meaningful, energizing, and deeply rewarding, and I am grateful for every person who chose to move, laugh, and grow with me at sea.
What Happened During the March 2025 Cruise
During the March 2025 cruise, I became ill early into the trip and remained sick for the entire seven days. While I was able to teach my scheduled fitness classes, I spent the remainder of each day resting in my cabin and was unable to participate in excursions or other activities.
Upon returning to the United States, I immediately sought medical care. Unfortunately, I discovered that my primary care physician had left the practice, which required me to begin the process of finding a new doctor. In the meantime, I was under the care of a stomach specialist and underwent extensive testing. The results indicated a bacterial infection, which I strongly believe I contracted during the cruise.
In addition, a persistent cough led me to consult a lung specialist. Further testing revealed lung damage, raising concerns about possible lung disease. This was unexpected, as I have never been a smoker. While a CT scan later showed my lungs to be clear, I am currently using an inhaler and continuing medical follow-ups to support healing and recovery.
Choosing Health and Healing in 2026
After much prayer, reflection, and medical consideration, I have made the decision to step back from hosting a workout cruise in 2027. My focus for 2026 is simple and necessary: to heal fully and restore my health.
This decision was not made lightly. My work, my calling, and my community mean everything to me—but stewarding my health must come first so I can continue serving for years to come.
Clarifying the 2027 Aruba Cruise Announcement
I also want to clarify something important with full transparency.
At the end of the March 2025 cruise, an announcement was made suggesting that Aruba would be the next destination. While there had been informal discussions with the travel agent organizing the cruise, I was never presented with a contract or formal agreement to sign.
Because no agreement was ever finalized, there was no cruise for me to cancel. I am sharing this so that my followers understand the facts clearly and truthfully.
To further complicate matters, I later discovered that the travel agent’s website was already promoting another cruise with a different host, scheduled around the same timeframe that had been discussed with me for Aruba in 2027.
Moving Forward
For these reasons—health, clarity, and integrity—I want to confirm that there will be no Paul Eugene Workout Cruise in 2027.
While this chapter is closing, my commitment to you has not changed. I remain dedicated to encouraging movement, faith, wellness, and purpose through my videos, programs, and online community.
Thank you for your understanding, your prayers, and your continued support. I am deeply grateful for each of you and look forward to what God has ahead—step by step, breath by breath.
With gratitude and honesty,
Paul Eugene
