“Lord, Renew My Strength — Even If It Looks Different Now”
Devotional Post
I was filming a seated workout recently.
The movements were gentle… the pace was steady… and I found myself modifying a few things.
Years ago, I would’ve pushed harder — faster — longer.
I would’ve measured strength by intensity and speed.
But while I was moving, a quiet whisper rose up in my spirit:
“You’re still strong, Paul — just in a different way.”
And it’s true.
Strength after 60 isn’t defined the way it once was.
It isn’t about how high you can kick, how long you can go, or how heavy you can lift.
It’s about endurance.
It’s about consistency.
It’s about wisdom — knowing when to push and when to rest.
It’s about recognizing that God renews us uniquely in each season of life.
Our bodies may change, but His presence does not.
Our pace may slow, but His strength does not.
Our abilities may shift, but His purpose for us remains steady.
So today, if your strength looks different than it used to…
If your workouts have changed…
If your body moves in new ways…
Take heart.
God is still renewing you — one day at a time.
One breath at a time.
One gentle movement at a time.
Your strength is not fading.
It’s maturing.
